Location Matters

Choosing the location for your photo session can be a difficult decision, but I am here to help make it a little easier. Below I have some of my favorite locations listed with information and sample photos. Please explore this site so we can choose the best location for us to explore together, while capturing memories.

I am based out of Fort Collins but love to explore! Ultimately the location decision is up to you, but please note that there may be a travel or photography permit fee required at some locations.

Bellvue, CO

Picnic Rock Park

Picnic Rock Park is a cute little park nestled next to the river near the entrance of the Poudre Canyon. This is a great spot if you are wanting mountain and nature vibes, without having to go far from Fort Collins. The river provides opportunity for great candid shots with kids, and there are beautiful tree-lined paths to explore while capturing memories.

Mount Falcon West Trailhead

Don't tell the other locations, but this one might be my favorite. Mount Falcon West Trailhead is just west of Denver and provides incredible mountain views without having to travel too far. There are plenty of paths to explore, and tons of trees providing shade, making it a great spot for any time of day. There is a $25 permit fee required to shoot here, which would be added onto your session cost.

Knoll-Willows Open Space

A beautiful open space right in the middle of Estes Park provides 360 mountain views, tons of trees and plenty of space to run around and capture candid photos. Just a quick one hour drive from Fort Collins, this is one of my favorite spots year-round.

NCAR Trailhead

A beautiful park just south of Boulder provides incredible views of the flatirons, lots of variety and plenty of space to run around. This is one of my favorite spots for spring, summer and fall photos.

Lee Martinez Park

This park in Fort Collins, Colorado is a great spot for mini sessions as there is not a ton of variety. However, there are a ton of trails surrounded by trees to explore and capture tons of great photos.

Arapaho Bend Natural Area

Another great option located in Southern Fort Collins, right near I25. There are tons of trees, grassy areas, and even some fun bridges that add variety to your photos.
